Northwest Actors – You’re Invited To APP-NW’s Annual Meeting on February 17!

The Alliance of Professional Performers NW was born from a simple idea – that all performers in the Northwest are entitled to basic standards in their workplace.

Since that idea was first expressed in late 2010, APP-NW has helped empower professional performers throughout the region with educational presentations and networking events; we’ve warned performers about questionable “opportunities” in our region; we’ve encouraged actors to stand together in the face of adversity; and we’ve begun to re-shape our market by asking members to give voice to one simple question:

“Does your production comply with APP-NW Standards?”

The APP-NW movement is growing, but there’s still plenty of work to do.  Our members play an active role in improving and increasing the level of professionalism within our industry and protecting performers through the establishment of workplace standards – and we want to let those members know just how much progress their efforts have brought about.

Join us on Monday, February 17 from 6 – 8 PM for APP-NW’s 2014 Annual Meeting!

  • Find out more about the movement
  • Learn how APP-NW has helped to change the Northwest market in the past year
  • Have your questions answered by the APP-NW Board of Directors
  • Be the first to hear the results of our 2014 Board Of Directors election
  • Find out what you can do to help APP-NW reshape our market

The 2014 Annual Meeting will be held at the NW Oregon Labor Council – 3645 S.E. 32nd Ave. Portland, OR 97202

6:00  Social meet-and-greet

7:00  Business commences

Missing #ActorsHappyHour?  Don’t despair – there will be plenty of time after the meeting to run by Bar Maven and continue the conversation!

We hope you’ll join us to find out more about APP-NW and what it’s done for Northwest performers over the past year – and what we plan to do in the coming year.  We can’t do it without you, so please RSVP at our Facebook page and let us know you’ll be attending!
